Lets not forget Allen's pathetic 3 for 14 (mostly wide open shots) in the 2009-10 game 7 loss by 4pts to the Lakers. Lets also remember that Pierce was only able to convince KG to come to the Celts be more »

I have noticed that on this new format on Boston.com that a lot of times it seems that the authors' rough drafts must have been inadvertently posted instead of their final, polished essays. more »

Does it seem to anyone else that JBJ gets to all the balls like Sellsburry did for us, but leaves off the flop at the end? more »

I was especially impressed with Big Papi hustling out an extra base on that pop fly that fell in the 7th...no wait. more »

Both the "error" and the base hit were a result of the exaggerated shift they used and are two more examples of how the shift often "beats itself" ......probably as often as it works for the defense. more »

Be interesting to hear what Mrs. Bucholz uses for his excuse today....probably has to go on DL until the playoffs more »

I had to reread this article 3 times to make sure it really IS as poorly written as I thought it was the first time. Did you turn in your first draft by mistake, man? more »

Claude is alright as a coach but if he thinks the Bruins would have won that Cup with a different goalie I'd like to know who he thinks the guy is.

The final debate over who is the "greatest player of all time", James or Jordan, when finally decided, will have an asterisk noting *Greatest player who never had to play against Bill Russell*

I will be rooting for Bucholz to prove me wrong but I don't think they should give her the start.
Posted 10/24/2013 12:39:36 EDT
Many of us are not surprised that Bucholz may miss her start in an important game.

I hope you are right and I am wrong...its his mindset that bothers me. Maybe he is a leader, it would be great if he showed that but he hasn't acted like he was at all uncomfortable being on the side more »

What? Feet-of-Clay Bucholz threw 40 stinking pitches and "felt nothing in the head"? That's GOOD news? Print up the Series tickets now. What a warrior!

Willie Mays belongs on this list. Its hard to prove how great an arm he had because NOBODY even thought about taking an extra base on him

I believe this is the record for starts missed because of an injury sustained due to holding a baby. If Curt Schilling had this guys heart and toughness the yankees would have been in the 2004 World more »

Its great to hear that Lady Bucholz is playing long toss.

If the Sox make it to The Series, and Peavy contributes, this will have been a good move...if not it is going to be worse than Bagwell for Larry Anderson because Iglesias stays in the American League more »

The pitching depth to our rotation is crucial since our alleged ace is J.D. Bucholz who origionally hurt himself by holding his daughter...what a man!
