Great article. I always find it incredible that 90% of free agents and 100% of Boras clients go for the highest offer, without considering other factors. Hat's off to LeBron, Bosh and other recent fre more »

Please no on Stanton
Why trade a boatload of prospects for him, and get the Marlins set for their next up-and-down cycle? We're in great shape now, lets keep it going this way.

Thanks for the feedback on my original post above: 1) Regarding the Red Sox working a side-deal with Dempster, it was purely a WAG, no idea but similar things happen in the NBA on salary cap issues, more »

Is it possible that the Sox made Dempster a promise to make good, or other off-table deal to reduce their official salaries so they have the flexibility for another deal and stay under the cap? I have more »

Great if Drew returns, but not to set up trading away pitching. Best to keep the pitching, and let the best pitch. Trading away Arroyo didn't work out too well for us. And lets remember the Buch more »

Good bye Boomer -
George was great and as enjoyable to watch as any Red Sox player ever. A power hitter who was a Gold Glove fielder. And a good guy.

Thank you Boomer
You were my favorite player growing up after Yaz and Rico. Thank you.

No No Nanette! Lets stay the course and no more mistakes like giving up Bagwell or taking in Gagne. Let Farrell keep juggling the bullpen one inning at a time, hope Bucholtz wakes up on the other sid more »

Quick Fixes Don't Work I don't want Peavy or any other castaways. Lets build the team and build it right. Roll out the kids to throw heat 1 inning at a time. Keep the prospects and stop casting awa more »
