HanRam's contract is not nearly as depressing if Ortiz is gone. Objectively, considering our overall situation, we shouldn't bring back Ortiz. Especially if we are in rebuild mode. I think they probab more »

It's particularly tough to see the pitching staff just implode night after night. I thought we'd be at least average. Instead we are a pitching nightmare. Why is it that a team like Toronto can just c more »

The whole issue of Hanley hurting us bad defensively in left field is real. Our best team is probably with him at DH. Controversial as heck but true. Ortiz has been strong enough to hit the ball over more »

What do you guys think of our #1 pick today? Benentendi? I love it. Great bat speed and pop. Can maybe slot well in our RF. Solid floor and should fit in well. Had the best season in all of college ba more »

I kind of like Wright as the mop up guy. I bet he could pitch 3-4 innings every 2-3 days. That kind of guy can be usefull. It would give him experience in the majors also. Minimize his exposure around more »

We could kind of use Rizzo right about now, as well as Agon. 2 huge bats lost.

It's encouraging to see Castillo help us out a little also. He still looks to be trying to pull everything but he is going to run into a few HR also. He looks strong enough to hit it out to RF some if more »

Brock Holt has earned some playing time and if he is continuing to produce I have no problem with him at either slot 1 or 2. It's not ideal but it's better than a .240 BA guy sometimes even if it is w more »

Look up the numbers when teams have a lead going into the 9th. It's pretty likely they are going to win then also.

They are going to body slam Owens fastball. If he gets it up it's gone. Fastball control is his priority and I'm glad he's working on it because he is definitely going to need it. Johnson looks for re more »

I think Johnson may well help us. I am not counting on Owens for much. His fastball is absolutely hittable. He's got to keep that pitch down and probably would be a better pitcher in a big stadium. I more »
