Tulo said just today (I think) that he would like to play in Boston also. The guy wants out of Colorado. When they have big years they often want to find some way to get out of their contract and sign more »

It's like Tulo goes to Yankee stadium yesterday after being the league MVP so far in Denver, with few people noticing. Jeter is retiring. Tulo is setting up his huge payday. He's positioning himself t more »

Trade Lester and get a haul. And then try to sign him next winter without losing a pick. It's a perfect storm for Lester and the Sox. For Lester in particular. The guy isn't stupid. He's saying all th more »

It's interesting that the Dodgers could really use a good defensive CF. JBJ? We have to find a place for Mookie somewhere. Mookie definitely looks real as a hitter.

Fenway is a good place to hide defensively challenged OF and we can move him to DH if necessary at some point. Here is a good article on his defensive posture: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/matt-kemp more »

The Dodgers would be picking up a ton of salary plus we have no need for Lester at this point beyond what we can get for him in a trade or as a QO next winter. I think we should at least consider it. more »

Ranaudo within .01 ERA of leading the International league in ERA for starters. That's a tough league to excel in as a pitcher. San Diego would trade any mlb player they have for him right now.

Mookie 4-5 tonight and Swihart with another big game as well as Ranaudo and Johnson. 12 strikeouts for Johnson in 6 innings. We have the pitching studs other teams want. We should be moving some for t more »

It seems that there is a glut of players available this year with few teams pulling the trigger. The Redsox alone have maybe 10 players on the block. God I hope they trade all of them. It's just bad m more »

I keep hearing that we are interested in Cole Hamels. We have some money freeing up next winter. If we keep Lester, add Cole Hamels, extend LAckey and round it out with Buchholz and a #5 I'm absolutel more »

The situation as I see it is that with enhanced revenue sharing options and the new media deals in place lots of teams can afford Lester in the 6 year/140 mil range Moon is talking about. And I think more »

I didn't want to draft Trey Ball but by all accounts this is a positive, hard working kid and he's athletic and big. Maybe the Sox thought he would add some weight over time or maybe they like pitcher more »

One word: Devers. I like Longhi as a pick and Ockimey has potential. But Devers is options 1, 2 and 3.

We will be lucky as heck if both Vasquez and Swihart are good enough to be a platoon. I'm very high on Swihart in particular but I don't think either of these guys are going to be so good we move them more »

Buchholz got it up to 93 today, maybe a little higher as I didn't see the game. I think the Sox might actually consider buying players now, to my chagrin. Just play the kids at this point and prepare more »

Excuse me, the fire sale started 12 hours later! It was bound to happen, and did. I hope we are nowhere near through. The FO might actually get encouraged by tonights game though. Let's hope they tank more »

Mookie had a solid game tonight. Loved the speed he showed to first on the infield "double". And the ability to score from 1st on Nava's double. That kid has a lot going for him including bat speed an more »

They kind of arranged a Peavy auction during tonights game, even announcing that there will be "some sort of move after the game".  And then we lose by 8-3 potentially ( the score so far ). I'm defini more »

I don't know if we are in the mode of trading prospects for some studs. It ma well be the other way around. For example, I bet Peavy gets traded within 2 weeks.
