Gomes is a solid clubhouse presence and is basically the same as Ross offensively..Defensively they're both not very good. I think you can hide some of Gomes' defensive deficiencies in LF though. Look more »

The Sox are not giving up Owens for Garza...maybe a Drake Britton or another piece. Not one of their top pitching prospects though.

You do realize that CC had a 7 year deal and JD had a 5 years deal right? When making comparisons it actually gives your view a little credibility if you have something COMPARABLE...2 years/26M vs 7 y more »

2 years is NOT a bad contract...6-8 years is a bad contract. 26M will not hamper this organization in any way shape or form like the CC or Gonzo deals.

Swisher has stated that he is looking for a Jason Werth type deal. He certainly wont get it, but he and/or his representatives have made that statement.

maybe you should look at Becketts numbers before you include him. Besides JB being injured in 2010, from 2007-2009 Beckett went 49-23 with about a 3.60 ERA, 587.1 IP 89 starts, about 2 BB per 9IP and more »

Twice the team? Yeah, with the majority of the pitching staff on the DL, including their best hitter, Bautista, injured etc., they were mediocre at best. Boston as more talent than Toronto.
