I would take him in a heartbeat. Plays the game hard, not dirty.

I would like to see them go after Nelson from Buffalo. He is a big reciever who has played well against them.

Comment on: Welker move is about evolving the offense - Extra Points - Boston.com
I think the Pats are among the best at not paying for what you did last year, but paying for what you can do this year and next. In Welkers case, his best was behind him not ahead of him. He was gre more »

Comment on: Source: Wes Welker to Broncos 'very likely' - Extra Points - Boston.com
Good luck to him. He will probably never play out the length of the deal and Denver will have CAP issues becasue of it. Its a good short term situation for them however.

Greg, you make it sound pretty easy to fix all the problems/holes. I dont think it will be quite so straight forward. I can see Hernandez playing the slot but not outside. I would like to see them more »

Comment on: Patriots offseason primer: After Ravens loss, expect a frenzy - Patriots - Boston.com
Gregory was not very good last year. He is not a good cover guy nor is he a banger. I think he is an insurance policy next year at best.

I would try to sign him at a reasonable price. If he is not amenable to that then they need to draft another corner. I would not pay him franchise wages because of the off field and injury risks.

Comment on: Ravens say theyâll be better the second time around vs. Denver - Patriots - Boston.com
Ray should go to the pulpit and leave the NFL behind. They did "A Football life" on him recently and there was not a lot to the story as there has been with previous Players. Not very interesting... more »

Elsbury is anything but a gamer. He is so very capable when he is healthy... I can see why they would want to get something for him while they can.

Comment on: 'Welker, Patriots fail to settle on a long-term contract'
This is a prudent move by the Patriots. Welker has at most 2 more decent years left and they have to spread some of the salary cap out to younger players. I love the way he plays the game but there co more »
