Comment on: The Celtics are most definitely not better without Rajon Rondo (really) -Celtics blog - Boston Globe basketball news

Guys stepped up. But this is liable to be temporary. More important... Doc was forced to play more guys. This is good and could pay off. He would have stuck to his controlling ways. A wild card, like more »

His injection into the lineup was a turning point and the most important thing that happened last year with this team. When he got hurt the C's were back to 4 guys who couldn't get a loose ball and Ro more »

Bass fit in nicely last year and appears to be a solid, workman-like player. He was able to grasp Doc's defensive schemes and was a good team mate on a club with some prickly personalities. I liked Ba more »

This guy is easy to build around. Just get guys who can RUN. He'll make the rest happen. We can't do that this year due to a lack of... well, guys who can run. But next year??? Oh yeah, We need a rebo more »

Body language suggests some resentment of Doc's attempts to push the tempo. Ray and Pierce are not running. They're often not even on the screen when the play goes down. Maybe they just can't go full more »

Doc talks defense but this team has failed to score 20 pts. in 7 of it's last 12 quarters. They concede the offensive glass, so no second shots. Their D is ok. They can't score. more »
