This is a terrible tragedy, but I agree with some commenters above -- if the investigation is still ongoing, and there's a chance the driver did not see the bicyclist -- DON'T USE THE PHRASE "HIT-AND- more »

I do take a train to and from Alewife every day, but I consider Red Line trains subway trains. At least in the Boston area, I'd assume "commuter train" is synonymous with "commuter rail." Oh, well.
