Comment on: Please, banish âSweet Carolineâ from Fenway Park - Sports - The Boston Globe

Dump it because it's a lame song. Stick with Dirty Water. My pick would be The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again." Great idea for a column, Geoff.

Posted 10/22/2013 09:18:43 EDT
Hello Mr. Farrell, I read this story today and I wondered why there was no interview with a bicycle rider about this wheel. Maybe that is the nature of business stories. I think this wheel will go n more »
Comment on: Long an issue, Markeyâs residency remains a tale of two communities - Politics - The Boston Globe
Posted 02/14/2013 08:18:29 EST
I think home is where the spouse is. Does Dr. Blumenthal accompany Mr. Markey to Malden? If not, then Malden is a business trip, and Maryland is where he lives.

Term limits? Yes! The reporter might have asked Marty Meehan about term limits, which he supported right up until his election. He has finally found a gig as a college president with no term limit.
Comment on: Donât count Stephen Lynch out of Senate bid - Opinion - The Boston Globe
Posted 02/10/2013 02:06:28 EST
Mr. Markey has been in the same seat/rut for 34 years. Rather than make it an even 40, let's elect a new voice. I'll be voting for Lynch in the primary and Dan Winslow in the general. It's time for so more »
Comment on: State Representative Carl Sciortino announces run for Markeyâs seat in Congress - Politics - The Boston Globe
Posted 02/09/2013 09:25:43 EST
I hope that voters decide that Markey is too valuable in his current job, and keep him where he is while sending Dan Winslow to the Senate. However, I'd be happy to look at Mr. Sciortino for Markey's more »

Comment on: Brown, Warren clash in second debate - Politics - The Boston Globe
Posted 10/01/2012 09:17:23 EDT
Oops, that's "junior senator," not junior detonator.
Posted 10/01/2012 09:16:17 EDT
The junior denator from Mass. has turned "Professor" from an honorific into a slur. I think Warren should refer to the senator ONLY as Republican Scott Brown. It might have an effect on him. Remind vo more »

Posted 08/22/2012 07:39:03 EDT
The Republicans strongly believe in states' rights, and it is the people of Missouri's right to vote for whomever they please. The GOP should not interfere by pressuring Mr. Akin to withdraw. If the b more »
