    I know there was a statististical study on the correlation between the 3 phases of the game and winning games, and what they came up with was something like this:

    Pitching 50%

    Offense 40%

    Fielding 10%

    I think our chances now depend on getting much better performance out of the spots in the rotation occupied by Porcello and Masterson and their +6 ERA's.

    They lined things up perfectly to have both Ogando and Tazawa unavailable on a night when we had a starter unlikely to pitch more than 5 innings.  Good thing we have so many other reliable relievers!
