Forum Post: Patriots In Need Of A Rb?

RE the decision to draft an OL rather than a RB like Faulk. With TB recovering from injury as much as I'd like a LB or DB chosen early in the draft, if a great talent slides at OL I think they should more »

JoshuaTree, I've been a fan of K Faulk since his LSU days & he really worked at it to become a good blocker. He's always had good hands & speed & an ability to make tacklers miss. I think the Pats hav more »

J Lee sounds like an intriguing talent. Can he catch screen passes & block? The Pats will need an eventual replacement for K Faulk.

I think the 2nd round will be a great place for the Pats to draft this year, good value & depth at positions of need. I think the #23 could be a great addition to the team also & the Pats have been ab more »
Forum Post: Fred Taylor's other job for NE
Posted 03/04/2009 01:55:12 EST
I think Fred Taylor's best contributions will be his productivity on the field. He's a home run threat every time he touches the ball. His productive carries could also make Maroney better because the more »

rpn, It is ironic & I don't think any of the players wanted to see TB hurt. I'm not nearly as pessimistic about MC or as bitter (lol) as you about the trade. I think MC will be a solid starter for KC more »
Forum Post: Could the Pats Have Gotten More For Cassel?

I think it was a good trade for both teams & reasonable value for MC. That is if the Pats can land an OLB that can put pressure on QB's & one of the Pat's backup QB's can develop into a reliable optio more »

Probably so, however, defense wins championships & the Pats' first pick will probably be a good addition to the defense.

It will be interesting to see who slides to the Pats. Every year a high quality talent slides further then expected in the draft. Wilfork is a good example of that. Last year was different because the more »

Signing bonuses & guaranteed $ will be of particular interest to GM's RE MC or any player because they can always cut a player otherwise or ask them to re-negotiate for budget purposes. Even though MC more »

A Smith's height could be a liability, however, if he has excellent jumping ability he may be able to overcome his height issue. If you saw the NBA's dunk contest you know that some shorter players (s more »

From what I've read about Sanchez & saw during a few games is that he had difficulty reading college defenses & that's why he had 10 interceptions during his season. Reading defenses wont get easier i more »

Bobomul, It wont be cheap to sign MC & there is a risk with signing him (although less risk because he's been successful in the NFL. If you were a GM would you rather spend your $ on: 2008 #3 overall more »

It's possible that SF picks Sanchez; He's a popular local guy in CA, having played at USC. That said, what do you make of Coach Carroll's he's not ready for the NFL comments. Was it that he was just r more »

Kyle, Good to hear that BB views Watson's blocking skills as improved. He's definitely a high character guy that shows flashes of brilliance with his athleticism. Even if Pettigrew slides to #23 defen more »

We may see a switch of draft picks such as NE's #23 & Cassell for SF's #10 & a 3rd round pick. It may happen right before the draft. A trade sooner rather than later would be best if TB's ready to pla more »

I'm rooting for TB too & a Cassell trade could really benefit the team (although it's tough to see a good young talent go) Who knows how the next Pats backup will do. Hopefully as good as Cassell.

How do we know that? Didn't Brady also win 11 games in his first year? The Pats defense was much better that year then what we saw from the Pats last year. If MC had R Seymour & Ty Law in their prime more »
