    The Sox got the best sp avaible they could get without selling the farm. The best way to look at it. Going forward Peavy, Bogarts and other prospects will better down the road for the Sox than Lee and more »

    Hernandez had some good numbers but he had injury problems and was inconsistent at times. I'm guessing he would but up decent numbers but would not be able to stay health enough to make the HOF.

    I'm glad to see they gave the money to a guy who's busted his A** here for 7 years and proved he can play in Boston. Good to see the Sox reward Pedroia and not throw money at a Josh Hamilton type.

    The Phillies will want two or three top prospects for Lee. Lee is great but pitchers are risky espically at age 34.  I think it would be wiser pass on Lee
