Forum Post: Is Lars Anderson coming back?
I think Boston missed the boat on this one. Lars is only 25 and was a former top prospect. He still has to have some upside and they could have got him back for next to nothing. For a team that is thi more »

Forum Post: Is Lars Anderson coming back?
Any word on Lars? DFA has what, ten days to make a move? I can't see why the Sox wouldn't at least bring him in to compete with Hamilton for the backup 1B / LF spot.

Forum Post: Is Lars Anderson coming back?
So at this point I guess the question is Lars an upgrade over Hamilton? I'm not real familiar with Hamilton.

Forum Post: 25 man roster crunch
Nava would have more value to this team if he could aslo back up Napoli at 1B. Is it unrealisitc to have him take reps at first during spring training?

Forum Post: 25 man roster crunch
Who gets left off? Traded? DFA? Seems like Mortenson, Aceves, Bard and Miller are all competing of one spot. I would start Bard at AAA to rebuild some confidence as a shut down 8th inning reliever. I more »

Forum Post: Signing LaRoche will cost us a #44 draft pick
Pass on Napoli and Laroche. Go into the season with Gomez playing full time at first. Pick up a left handed backup who could also play some OF, like Berkman. If it doesn't work out they can make a mo more »

I'd like to see Gomez get a shot. I think he could be comperable to Napoli for way less money.

I actually like Aceves. Especially if he can be convinced to buy in to being a middle reliever, and be satisfied with that and stop pouting.

If Boston is looking for a full time first basemen, Laroche is a much better fit than Napoli. He would cost a draft pick but I think he would be worth it as an upgrade over Napoli defensively and beca more »

Forum Post: BRING BACK YOUK TO PLAY 1ST BASE!
They could do worse than Youk on a short term deal. He started to decline when he moved to third. I think he could still play a decent first base. I would rather trade for a young, powerful 1st baseme more »

Offer him the deal everyone is reporting ( the 2 year 25 million, give or take). If he takes it great. If not move on. Every day it's "close" to a deal then "deal not close". The Sox need this order o more »

I would have rather seen them get Lars Anderson (for nothing) or make a real trade for Smoak. Hopefully Carp can get it done.
