    Posted 03/03/2015 06:37:31 EST

The Patriots' front office picks up or drops options at the last possible minute.  We didn't know whether Ghost or McCourty would be franchised until Monday.  For Revis, the last possible minute appea more »

  • Forum Post: Reiss on Tagging Ghost and Not McC

    Posted 03/02/2015 08:42:42 EST

McCourty started as a cornerback but he can't play man-to-man, just zone.  So they put him out in center field, where he's perfect but in a non-critical position on the field.  He's just not a cornerb more »

Everybody in the NFL knows that Ghost prevents big returns.  He also hits some great field goals, but usually he doesn't have to.  Finally he has been on a perennial killer team for years so he's prob more »

    Posted 02/28/2015 09:53:27 EST

If these castoff OGs are considered malcontents by their old teams, BB might take a look at them.  OGs are college tackles that aren't fast enough to handle speedy pass rushers.  They take two years t more »

Branch was a classic malcontent in Buffalo.  Otherwise he's a pretty good player.

Malcontents:  Corey Dillon, Rice, Blount, Revis,...   Just treat them with some respect and play to their strengths.

For most of the game Seattle was playing without one of their starting linebackers.  The extra cornerback that they brought in was utterly lost, and Brady picked on him in particular all night.  Yes, more »

  • Forum Post: should we consider kicking those tires on one JACOBY JONES?

    Posted 02/25/2015 08:25:38 EST

Problems:  Jacoby Jones has small hands and that makes him a running fumble problem.  He isn't fearless going over the middle.  He isn't super quick even if he's fast.  Leave him.

First off, nfl.com lists Dorsey's combine height at 6'3", not 6'1".  The Patriots had eight receivers last year at 6'3" or over, if you count Nate Solder's touchdown catch. Dorsey is listed as a primo more »
