Sox are in danger of not breaking the 70-wins barrier for only the 5th time in the last 50 years. The frustration is magnified because it would be twice in 3 years. After a decade of dominance.  Serio more »

Why not try moving Clay to the pen? He could be an effective middle reliever. Less innings, less wear and tear, less pressure. Doesn't seem like he would bring much trade value, so why not try it?

HR's are important, but what's more important is when they happen. The argument of HR's vs. OPB only takes into account overall scoring, but scoring isn't the main thing- winning is. The HR can win a more »

Moon nails it, as usual. This team needs proven performers, and has the money and prospects to get them. Serious pitching help is top priority.

If he's proven he can't cut it as a starter, and has little or no trade value, what about moving him to relief? Maybe his fragile mentality would benefit from not having a starter's pressure, and his more »
