    Posted 08/14/2014 07:20:32 EDT

Develin will make the roster.  He can play multiple roles.  I still believe that Slater will be in trouble.  Boden could be out.  He has not shown much in the last two years.  His contract is up at th more »

    Posted 07/30/2014 07:25:10 EDT

The Peavy trade brought 2 pitchers.  Hopefully the Lester trade will bring some power hitters.  This is a better solution than a first round sandwich pick in next years draft.

    Posted 07/29/2014 07:13:08 EDT

I am looking at the glass half full.  A World Series last year.  A stockpiled farm system.  Several rookies playing and learning.  This team is setting itself up for a good run the next 10 years.  Yes more »

    Posted 07/17/2014 11:25:14 EDT

I think management has done a good job.  They signed players that helped to win a championship last year.  They have a farm system that is generating young talent.  They are not saddled with overprice more »

    Posted 07/14/2014 07:24:00 EDT

Never was a Spikes fan.  Big,slow and one dimensional.  He was often injured and his celebrations drove me nuts! I think he created problems for BB as well because he could not adapt to changes in the more »

    Posted 05/21/2014 07:12:56 EDT

I think Slater could be gone.  High salary number and is a one trick pony.  There were a lot of young and fast UDFA's signed.  Ebner and Boyce are going to be special team players that add backup to t more »

Rookie contracts are set by the collective bargaining agreement.  No need to rush with signing?

kind of early to set the roster. Hopefully there will be some pleasant surprises from training camp.  I would not be surprised to see Slater on the bubble.  Ebner is younger and cheaper.

    Posted 05/07/2014 07:11:27 EDT

1.) BB will make a trade during the draft.  Be it picks, Mallet or maybe Ridley.  My thinking on Ridley is that he will have his contract up at the end of the year and he is not reliable with the foot more »

I think the Patriots will add more 6th and 7th round selections to this years draft.  There will be a scramble to add UDFA's by many of the teams.  BB can beat the rush by drafting several potential p more »

  • Forum Post: Would you trade up in the draft?

    Posted 05/01/2014 07:11:19 EDT

I think this year, you want to get as many mid-round draft picks as possible.  Trading up does not make sense.  There were 100 underclassmen added to this draft.  The mid-round selections could be a f more »

After reviewing some of the mock draft boards, I see some good players at pick 29.  I see 4 QB's, 6 receivers, 3 OT, 2 LB, 2 safeties, and a couple of DE/DT taken early in the draft.  This will leave more »

Blount was one dimensional.  Could not catch a pass.  Teams started to load up the box when he was in there.  Knew it would not be a pass play.

Bolden has not do anything since the PED fine in 2012.

Never hurts to have an extra body in camp.  If he makes the roster, it will be better than Carter.

I am wondering if Carter Jones can play DE.
