  • Forum Post: More Tin Foil Hat Comments From Indy

    Posted 01/29/2015 10:00:23 EST

Doyle has openly admitted that he hates the Patriots.  Admitted that he hates Belichick.  It is personal with him.  He has no more credibility than any garden variety internet troll from Indiana.

  • Forum Post: Great read: "The reason you hate the patriots...

Great piece.  I would recommend it to anyone.  Too bad that critics aren't interested in facts.  It's way easier just to confirm their biases.

  • Forum Post: REPORT: Refs never used a gauge

    Posted 01/28/2015 08:51:49 EST

Been saying this the whole damn time.  They didn't use a gauge because a psi here or there does not matter.  The refs signed off on them because they were good enough.  The balls were playable, period more »

I ran the same simulation.  Entered the bathroom at 12:08:15, came back out at 12:09:54.  That is a 1 minute, 39 second spread... 99 seconds.  That is not rushing around.  Longish pee, average to belo more »

Refs did not use a gauge to check pressure.  I'd bet on it.  I'm sure a few use a gauge here and there but I'm saying pretty much every ref, especially the vets who have inspected thousands, just chec more »

    Posted 01/26/2015 01:03:12 EST

The tide will never completely turn.  The Pats could be proven completely not guilty of any wrongdoing but that's not as interesting so if the truth gets reported by the few outlets that think it wort more »

    Posted 01/23/2015 11:58:13 EST

This is that I've figured all long.  Teams hand the footballs to the officials for inspection before the game.  Refs check them out to make sure there are no major problems.  Laces, spin it to make su more »

Remember this:  Every other team may violate rules and do it worse.  That doesn't matter because no one cares about their indescretions.  It's all about the Pats because Patriots stories have legs.  M more »

I agree.  I got a speeding ticket when I was 19. Figured that one minor slip up meant I was a bad apple and just gave up on life from that point on.

  • Forum Post: So Refs can't feel a deflated ball?

    Posted 01/21/2015 11:06:00 EST

Of course they can feel the difference.  It isn't strange.  The officials didn't view it as an issue.  This was akin to doing 60 mph in a 55 mph zone, or jaywalking.  Technically against the law but m more »

From what I understand, the standard punishment for this is a $25k fine. Peanuts in the NFL world. I agree with your overarching point.

The NFL will waterboard a confession out of the ball boys if necessary.  It could be another Gitmo.  The NFL is not bound by the rules of the Geneva Convention.
