So Bryant has indeed been sent down. The Players Association is not happy about it, but they also seem to acknowledge that it's the stoopid rules that need to be fixed.

The Sox won 104 games in 1946 so that was a pretty good team. They won 96 in 1948 and 96 in 1949.
