The B's just experienced the "hangover effect" from a game with such a high heading into a highly skilled team in Detroit who DOES NOT play the B's type of game. B's thrive in dirty games, Detroit is more »

Not callin you out - but we heard about Phaneuf going down for a couple years if you payed attention to Calgary at all. All you ever read was he went for the highlite reel hit, vs. actually playing de more »

I compare Horton to Kessel as he is his true replacement - Seguin is the future... along with Horton. Last yr we could've used Kessel - this year, I'll take Horton and his tougher style of play and mo more »

Thornton handled Boogard quite well - Boogard beat down orr just prior to that fight. Thorny can hold his own. I would like to see what McGrattan could do though!

I can't blame the ref in the moment its difficult to tell, but no further discipline should come down on Brown for this. This is not what the rule was made for. Nash should be suspended for what he di more »

What is Yandle's cap hit? Is there anyone else on PHO that would make sense?

Not sure what he makes or what it would take - but any chance on bringing a guy like Yandle back to Boston? Nice stats (12 goals, 29 assists last yr) - he's from Boston. Just a pipe dream I know - but more »

I thought the rule was point of contact/ target - head was not the point of contact - shoulder was.

Wheeler screwed PHO over not signing after being drafted high by them. Can't imagine they would take him back. MeanE - if you move Ryder you are most likely taking something back thats not as much $$. more »

THis was a hit to the shoulder, wasn't as blindside as the Savvy hit. The follow-thru may have caught his head. Def. should NOT be a suspension for this. Listen to Larry Murphy from On the Fly last ni more »

I wouldn't say he looks brutal, last night I would put Wheeler in that category, and the previous games I would put Hunwick in that category. I think part of the issue is this team is much quicker tha more »

nrguy - I'd drop Wheeler to 4th line duties first. He hasn't earned more than that. I'd say: DK, PB (25+), Luc (25+), Horton (30+), Ryder, Caron, Sturm "should get there". No idea when Savvy returns, more »

Marchand def. gets the bump when Sturm gets back. Will be interesting to see what they do for the line chemistry. Agreed on bouncing Wheeler down to 4th duties. Good skater, playing "tougher in his te more »
