Everyone's talking about trading Carp but I'd rather give Gomes away.  I know it won't happen but it's a better option to clear a spot on the 25 man if necessary.  He's only signed through this year v more »

Moon - If you put Bradley in AAA you are asking for trouble.  He can't come up to the team without someone hitting the DL.  Shanf is going to require days off and Sizemore playing anything remotely cl more »

I've seen Butler listed multiple times here for DFA.  I don't see it happening.  He's 26, but he is also a good defensive catcher who just put up good offensive numbers in AAA.  Assuming we sign Salty more »

In July/early-August I would have said there's a greater than 75% chance of Lava getting traded in the offseason.  I honestly don't see room for him now that his power numbers have dropped off a cliff more »

    This year vs LHP ...

    Snyder: .310 AVG, .931 OPS

    Nava: .242 AVG, .653 OPS

I see this place is still a mildly amusing cess pool.

Iggy wins hands-down.  I thought this could be his breakout year, but not like this.  I figured/hoped he'd show an ability to get his OPS into the .600's and show enough gap power for us to pencil him more »

In response to softlaw2's comment: Nava's a worthy platoon guy. But we're a long way from even talking about "year", as in full season. Agreed the year is only 1/3 over.  OTOH, how about 600 AB's of . more »

I'm glad Iggy is getting some playing time while WMB is out.  Back in April, I thought Drew was brought back from his concussion too early ... it would have been better to transfer him to the 15-day D more »

I have a suspicion Iggy is going to show us enough with the bat this year to be our planned starting SS for 2014.  Nothing to concrete to base this on, just a hunch, so take it FWIW (< $.02 probably). more »
