    Who is Mike?

  • Posted 08/01/2015 05:18:44 EDT

Games are somewhat fun to watch when the younger guys are playing. Napoli 0-5, Ortiz 1-4, Ramirez 1-4 right in the heart of the lineup and still 11 runs.    Would be nice to see Owens or Johnson pitch more »

Bullpen arms are so unpredictable, with the exception of the really elite relievers. Doesn't hurt to add a guy who was once good, and is still pretty young. Could benefit them down the road. Gave up n more »

What is he supposed to do? None of the players he wants to move hold a lot of value. Napoli will probably be dumped sometime before the deadline, but I doubt 2 months of a .200 hitter will result in m more »

Living in Nats territory, this team is good enough to win the WS. They aren't going to trade anyone away. It's almost too bad Storen is losing his job. He's been fantastic this year.

Shouldn't you always use your best option first in this situation? The idea from the pitching perspective is to keep the game tied until your offense can score. Uehara is their best arm in the bullpen more »

    1. Publically announcing that you're transgender takes a lot of courage. I'd assume it's similar to one coming out as homosexual. Lot's of people are transgender and feel the need to hide it, stuff li more »

They should send him down to AAA and let him work at 1B for 2016. There's no point in grooming him to be a catcher when the longterm plan is Christian Vasquez.

They need him to be the sacrificial lamb for fan hatred. Every year there is one player, who for no logical reason, is an everyday player. Now that Steven Drew is gone it is De Aza's turn.   Though to more »

Kelly loves the fastball right down the middle. If only he could figure out how to locate it.

In response to pcmIV's comment: Mookie doesn't have 20 HR power imo.  Maybe in a career year, but not the norm.  I believe in the speed though. He could easily hit 15 this year at age 22. I could see more »

1 hitter last week, no hitter this week... next start should be the perfect game. Lame little HBP that Tabata leaned into with 2 outs on the 9th.

It's pretty incredible. His last game he went 9 shutout innings and struck out 16. The only thing that prevented a perfect game was a bloop single on a popup late in the game... Next game, right now, more »

And the mighty De Aza taking at bats from Castillo once again. Give the guy a chance to play on a regular basis.

Holt hits for the cycle, Betts came up next and needed a HR for the cycle. How awesome would it have been for two players to hit for the cycle in consecutive at bats.
