Didn't Fraser also fall on his butt and cough up the puck resulting in another goal?

Buyouts are only allowed during the buyout period. It was long over before preaeason, though I forget the exact dates.

Kelly was hurt so couldn't be bought out this past offseason. As for Fraser, he still may one day make it as a 3rd or so liner, but he has none of the skills that are useful for a 4th liner. Square pe more »

Pasternak, Cehlarik, and Blidh, I think is all.

In response to SanDogBrewin's comment: PS. If a team wanted Kelly for there PK he would be gone already. Even though Chiarelli would have to use the jaws of life to pry Kelly away from Julien? -- Prou more »

The Blues are a playoff team and #23 in the league in PK%. I don't know enough about their roster to guess whether that would make them interested enough in moving Oshie for either Eriksson or Kelly, more »

From a physics standpoint, that hit had a fascinating outcome. From Gionta's perspective, he should be really happy he wears a visor. I've given up on predicting suspensions. -- Proud user of Cha more »

A bit depressing that beating the Sabres in overtime is cause for celebration. That was nearly a back-breaker by Rask. I know it happens sometimes during an 82 game season, but this team is running more »

I ran the math back when the trade happened. From what I recall, they could have kept Seguin that season, but it would have meant EL or league-minimum players on two of the top three lines. It also more »

It is curious that replacing Iginla with Griffith could make such a big difference on offense; after all that's the main difference between the roster now and the #3 offense from last season. -- Proud more »

Krug had to clean it up.
I guess Krug knows CPR.

The puck went to Kelly, and offense didn't die? I must be imagining things.

Lex, I think it has more to do with Julien placing team ahead of individual numbers. To him, a first line scoring say 15 fewer goals but a third line keeping the puck in the offensive zone more is a more »
