I am going to have to say yes. Garnett was the heart and sole of the team then, and he is still the heart and soul of the Celtics now.

His knee clearly needs surgery. Its something that isn't going to heal this year. He is sitting out in order to reduce swelling and inflammation, but the problem is still there. I agree with waivin more »

Bigger, stronger, longer, and more athletic. Brewer could fill Tony Allen's shoes and some.

I have never seen Perk smile like this...I bet he started to grow facial hair a month after this picture was taken.

Love this signing.

I want to know when Perkins developed his angry demeanor, because he looks like the friendliest kid.

This gives the team awsome depth at Center. Now, all 210 pounds of Chris Johnson will be sent back down to D-league and the Celts now have an extremely solid second unit. When Shaq gets back, this C more »

Perk wanted a long term deal and he got it...with the Thunder...

Powe might be more physical than Murphy down low and could replace some of the toughness that Perk had. But again, his knee is the biggest issue and if he clears a physical, sign the man. http://www. more »

Are his knees healthy enough for another go-around with the Celtics? I will say maybe. He does know the Celtics system, and is familiar with a majority of the players, so it might not be as bad of a more »

I think people are underestimating how good Jeff Green will be. Would it be worth it pick up Leone Powe off of the market?

They were hanging tough, but not a lot of teams have a chance to win with a bench like that more »

The lineup was so disgusting I couldn't finish watching the game. Not a chance the Celtics were going to pull that one out.

I hope this trade doesn't screw up the team chemistry. Perk was a huge part of that team, and his "nasty" attitude will be missed big time in the playoffs.

Krstic is a bad man!!

Ya thats true. Who ever we get must be a quick learner on defense and better know how to rebound

Obviously not for an entire game...might be in trouble more »

Perkins single handedly defended Dwight Howard in the playoffs last year. He pushed him outside the box and forced him to take shots he didn't feel comfortable taking. If Shaq isn't ready, who will more »

Brady still isn't skinny, but he isn't fat. He is kind of that soft, doughy white guy body type. Thats why everyone holds their breath when he gets sacked. more »

I thought the Jets fans were bad, but the Knicks fans are emerging as top notch imbeciles.

Seems like forever ago. He is still young though and could return to all star-ish form.
