In response to puddinpuddin's comment: The Celtics have a history of getting rid of good players when they believe they can no longer afford their services... or when better deals present themselves more »

Kelly Olynyk's success as a 5 this preseason will pretty much dictate Faverani's fate.

The Rondo haters and the Boston Globe need to get a grip and come to a proper understanding of the market. Like it or not, Rondo is an elite PG and therefore a max player in this league. The Celtics n more »

I have very low expectations for Young this season. Who is he going to take minutes from? Green? Smart? Wallace? Bradley? All of them will play ahead of Young at the 2 or 3. And he missed ALL of Summe more »

I think DA had a fine plan to get Kevin Love, but he didn't expect LeBron to go back to the Cavs nor the domino effect that followed. I feel he would have found a way to outbid the Bulls. Just no way more »

Aside from Rondo there is not one player on the roster who can impose his will on an opponent. Green's got the talent, but not the a-hle disposition KG demanded from him. Olynyk may develop into that more »

It's difficult to feel good about how this offseason has gone, with the exception of Marcus Smart and gaining an additional first rounder from the Cavs. The roster hasn't been appreciably improved, an more »

I think Marcus Smart is a rookie and rookies need time to figure the game out. But overall, I like what I see. They'll make a player out of him.

And this, folks, is how Danny Ainge gives a big "eff-u" to Pat Riley and the Heat. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Nothing short of including Rondo would entice the Cavs to part with the #1 overall pick. I don't see it happening.

In response to Mployee8's comment: Anthony can't be traded until this season is over now. So what was Danny's motivation to trade Craw & Brooks for Anthony and the Sixer pick ... two 2nd rounders in 2 more »

In response to CubanPete's comment: Ainge is gambling that the Sixers make the playoffs next season. That could happen in the EC. If it does, Ainge will be chest thumpin' that he converted Crawford in more »

The last time DA said an injury wasnt serious and he expected only a few games to be missed was two years ago when Shaq went out and never came back.
The skeptic in me says: "We'll see about KG"

Ray was a good Celtic. He just cannot defend anymore, and the C's make their living on D. That being said, I still wish he had stayed in Boston and finished up with us.

I too would be surprised if KG is dealt, but I never thought they'd deal Perk the way they did either. Again, I'm not much for conspiracy theories, but it was one year ago this week when DA dealt Perk more »

Logic says to stand pat and just play the season out since: 1) no trade is likely to give the C's enough to win the title this year, and 2) the cap space coming from expiring deals is worth a heluva l more »
