    I personally don't think it is worth it, if he can be back by Thursday. 8 days missing your best power hitter for 7 days of an extra bench spot is kind of a hard sell.

    TBF the Red Sox never had a 4th OFer. They also only had Nava and JBJ for lefties. He fills one role the Sox didn't have and anouther that the Sox weren't super deep in.

    The team had before the trade too many draft picks. Now the team still has too many draft picks and IT. I think that is a better option than endlessly building like Philly.
