In my view (assuming they are both healthy) it's a big mistake if the Sox don't stick the rest of the year with Bogaerts at SS, Middlebrooks at 3B, Bradley in CF, and Vasquez behind the plate.  They c more »

I'd say this is also the year to find out about Middlebrooks.  It is not the year to move guys who have not been written-off, but who are under-performing. Their trade value is so depressed it's not w more »

Unless the Sox have decided that Bogaerts is not the future SS they need to move Drew and begin playing Bogaerts at short every day as soon as possible.  This more or less "lost season" presents the p more »

Even considering not resigning him is idiotic. I guess they could let Lester go, or trade him now and then throw the bank at Max Scherzer, but that would probably cost them more money and they would l more »

I'm saying shut him down if he's got a partially torn ligament in his wrist and is trying to play through it.
I don't want to see the guy shorten his career.

The quote below needs to be repeated over, and over, and over again, until it sinks in, and the nonsense about being converted to a starter stops.  "September 2011 when he was still the set-up guy. He more »

I've seen people post about what is the most disappointing thing this year.  To me it's the fact the team seems to have wasted a year during which Uehara continues to be absolutely brilliant.  In fact more »

I still believe Bradley will hit around .300 most seasons. That's what he's always done.  There are a lot of hard throwers in college and the minors and he hit them.  I think he's still pressing and w more »

It's hard to say the Sox are completely out of it. I can't see them catching the Jays, but they are not very far out of a wildcard slot.  You never know, but that if they got in,  Lester and Lackey mi more »

It's not my money and it's only for the rest of this season. The reason I hate the deal is it stunts Bogaerts' development at SS. That is assuming the Sox have not given up on the idea of Bogaerts at more »

Is this a serious proposal? I can't think of anything more ridiculous than the Red Sox getting rid of their front-line pitching. They would immediately be put in the position of having to go out and f more »

Where are all the threads about how Bogaerts must be traded while he still has some value left, and Holt having five errors?

Count me as totally on board with Bogaerts sticking at SS. He has by no means been a disaster in the field. Despite his struggles he's been slightly better than I expected, and has shown improvement. more »
