Comment on: Doubront takes a loss but continues progress - Extra Bases - Red Sox blog
His 4 seamer was 89 to 91, topping at 92 yesterday. I have to see more outtings where he shows success pitching at this velocity before I believe that he can be consistently successful pitching this more »

Comment on: Skillful performance by Torey Krug, Bruins - Touching All the Bases - Boston.com
Quite impressive. I was so wrong about him, based on what I saw his first time up. I did not expect much, and I am happy I was so wrong. And, I am also impressed about his maturity level. If you more »

Comment on: Dennis Seidenberg, Andrew Ference injured for Bruins practice - bruins blog - Boston Globe hockey news
caron had plenty of chances this year. After what he showed last year, I expected him to be a lot better, and so did the Bruins. It was his job to lose, and he did. They basically kept that 3rd lin more »

Maybe they should have hired him as the mascot. They get the "clubhouse stuff" while keeping the roster space...

@Bruinfaninnewjersey,
I don't think you travel much. Even "sitting on your butt on a plane is very tiring. You get a lot less oxygen than normal, which plays havoc wth your body.

Comment on: Tonight's Bruins lineup - bruins blog - Boston Globe hockey news
Also, what's with Daugavins on the 1st line? One game he can't break into the top 12 forwards, and the next day he is on your top line?

Comment on: John Lackey ready to get going again - Red Sox - Boston.com
Lackey pitched very well in his season debut until his arm issue. It would make for an unrelenting rotation if he can get back to anything resembling his Angels form.

Comment on: Police probe possible link between Marathon bomber and unsolved triple homicide in Waltham - Boston.com
There have been many sources about his interest in religion starting a couple of years ago. Although that does not demonstrate radicalization, it is certainly a possibility.

Comment on: Police probe possible link between Marathon bomber and unsolved triple homicide in Waltham - Boston.com
It does not look like such a stretch. I am not sying it is conclusive, but it is worth seeing whether the dots connect.
It also fits a timeline about their behavioral change.

Comment on: Parents of Boston suspect describe his Russia trip - News - Boston.com
It is less of a concern is he was radicalized on his trip to Russia (because it is less common, and law enforcements have a better chance of identifying it) . I would be more concerned if he was radi more »

Comment on: No word on Nathan Horton's injury - bruins blog - Boston Globe hockey news
Nobody is going to take Lulic's contract if he continues to play the way he is playing this year. They either have to live with it, or use one of the special buyouts to save them some money contract.

Comment on: Allen Webster to debut in doubleheader - Extra Bases - Red Sox blog
Sure. Doubront can pitch tomorrow on regular rest, but they will be short in 5 days. Might as well take advantage of the extra roster spot for the double header.

Comment on: Struggling Milan Lucic may sit out Fridayâs game - Bruins - Boston.com
I think they have both underperformed. This is why they both lost their place on the first line. Another are of concern is the defence. They are being caught up ice more often than I can remember in more »

BeantownBronco, They could use one of the 2 special buyouts in summer 2013 and 2014. If they use it this summer, it will cost them 1/3 of his contract spread over 6 years ($1M/y). I think it is more »

Comment on: Napoli on the run as the Red Sox win again - Extra Bases - Red Sox blog
If Drew's bat comes around and they are doing well in the standing, drew is not going anywhere this year. Besides, Iglesias has not proven yet that he can hit, and seems to be pouting in Pawtucket. more »
