Hanram covers someone in the infield even this year. When I look at the Panda I see a guy who should hit very well in Fenway, similar to Ortiz in approach. Hopefully without such a pull emphasis. I do more »

Moncada should definitely start in the minors. I'm saying he's played against better competition levels than we think but he could still benefit from time in the minors. I have zero doubt he will star more »

I think I said 2 more years Moon and then he would be 21-22 years old. If Moncada's a better player for it we would have him in his age 22-28 years assuming he's not a super 2, which we should make su more »

In response to ctredsoxfanhugh's comment:  I've heard people compare the cuban national series to something between single a and double A.  So I'd say it's debatable on whether it's below college base more »

I had Moncada pencilled into a yankees uniform 3 months ago. The Yanks are in deep doodoo with seeming management paralysis. They absolutely needed to land Moncada after their international signings m more »

I'm saying we should expect the sox to spend money on the team. They have a huge cash cow they couldn't mess up if they tried. I have no problem with them going over the luxury tax limit this year and more »

The Diamondbacks were the latest to get a new TV deal. It is incredible what these teams are getting paid. It's a license to make money, and it's even a monopoly no less. Ridiculous money for every te more »

I don't think Swihart will hit well enough to be a great DH but i bet he can at least reach jorge Posada level with the bat and that wasn't bad at all. And be a better defender than Jorge ever was. Wh more »

The Sox are brilliant mathmaticians. They hire the best economists to run the numbers. Sure, we can get a top starter like Hamels but at a huge cost in talent and cash. I  think the Sox are onto somet more »

Cechinni would be of some value to Philly. I don't see him as much of a first baseman though, with so little pop. I see him as a decent corner OF though. He can run a little and he has a strong arm. H more »

Prediction: Cechinni comes back strong next year in AAA and puts less emphasis on trying to hit the ball out of the park. He should just be who he was, which was a very high OBP/average guy with real more »

I think most GMs wouldn't trade Swihart straight up for Hamels but Amaro seems to be asking for something like Swihart, Coyle, and Barnes. Good luck with that! I'd consider Owens, Coyle and Cechinni b more »

I think Hanram will be very likely to be a plus defender in LF. We should have a much better defense this year overall.

Huge improvement at catcher, in LF, at 3rd base.
