The Yanks would only lose a 3rd round pick if I remember correctly but their luxury tax hit would be huge. Every once in a while Boras loses and this might be an instance. I still think Drew goes past more »

All this stuff is very small sample size but the Delarosa data is encouraging. And I'm looking to buy stock in Mookie at this point.

Betts so far today is 1-2 with a double and a walk and his 4th SB. He's hitting .471 with an OBP approaching .525.

There is little indication that Betts will be a plus defensive SS. He was already moved off the position in the low minors. The guy is clearly a stud but he's not everything to everyone. He probably e more »

An undiscussed factor is that Japanese players have a much greater loyalty to the team they play for and the ownership groups they play for. Which is exactly why I like them so much. When Matsui broke more »

It would have been worth it to sign Kuroda just to knock the yanks out of the playoff picture. Now they will be gnawing at us all year.

Realistically, Drew was an average SS. Why lose the possibility of a pick, over $10 mil per year of cash, and commit to him long term when we get essentially the same offense and defensive value overa more »
