Speaking of the Mets, in 2007, they had a 7-game lead in their division with only 17 games to go. This has to be one of the biggest regular season collapse in MLB history. lol

If going over the limit in 2015 means a shot at another World Series then why not? Several players will come off the books after 2015.

Speaking of the Braves, winning 14 straight division titles is very impressive (but I believe that if the 1994 strike did not happen, then the Expos would have won the division). With Maddux, Glavine more »

In 2015, the Red Sox will become the first ever, "Worst-to-First-back-to-Worst-back-to-First" team.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!!
P.S. Hey Zac, that is a very funny pic of A-Rod.

Lester getting such great offers is great news for Scherzer and Scott Boras.
Between Lester and Scherzer, I prefer Lester because of his familiarity with the AL East and especially playoffs.

Juan Francisco, welcome to the Red Sox.
A week later,
Juan Francisco, good bye and good luck. lol

When I saw the title, "Ramirez signs with the Red Sox" in ESPN, for a split second, I thought it was Manny. LOL

The Yankees will sign a top free agent or two (My guess is either Lester or Scherzer).
Posted 11/23/2014 09:01:32 EST
A-Rod did not have to cheat. He was already a very talented ballplayer. It's unfortunate that he had to cheat.

If the Red Sox sign Panda, then what will they do with Middlebrooks?
5 years /$95 million for Panda is a lot especially since the team needs starting pitching.

I'm sure Scherzer and his agent, Scott Boras are waiting for Lester to sign first before they proceed. lol If I were to take a guess, I think the Yankees will come out of nowhere and sign Lester to more »

Great move by the A's for signing Billy Butler to a three-year, $30 million deal. I'm surprised no other team offered a deal better or similar to what Oakland gave him.

Panda is so fat, I'm afraid he will start another "Beer and Fried Chicken" incident in the Red Sox clubhouse. lol

When I play poker, I always lose "a hand".
As for Canseco, he is an idiot.

Toronto gave Russell Martin a five-year, $82 million deal. If he got that much, then Sandoval could get more.
Posted 11/19/2014 08:48:07 EST
I have a feeling that the Yankees will offer a much larger contract (e.g. 6-year, $145 million deal). "If" the Red Sox don't sign Lester, then they should go after Shields (a slighter cheaper option) more »

The Giants seem to do very well in even years (2010, 2012 and now 2014).

I would like to see Boston trade Cespedes and two top prospects to Oakland for Samadzija and Donaldson.
Cherington: "Cepsedes, you're going back to Oakland."
Cespedes: "Muchas gracias."
