Christina Aguilera’s son has a pretty normal name (Max), so we weren’t necessarily expecting the, er, seasonal name she chose for her daughter.

The “Beautiful’’ singer gave birth to Summer Rain Rutler on Saturday, Aug. 16. Aguilera formally announced her baby girl’s name via Twitter and Facebook early on Monday morning.

Summer Rain is Aguilera’s first child with fiancé Matt Rutler (and his first child ever). She and ex-husband Jordan Bratman are parents to Max, 6.

Rutler and Aguilera announced their engagement on Valentine’s Day, six days before Us Weekly reported that the couple was expecting a baby on Feb. 20.
