The living room of Webster & Company’s model unit greets visitors with a soft palette of pastels and strong woodwork, which frames the view of the city bustling below.

Something magical happens on the 20th floor of the W Boston Hotel & Residences. That’s where seven pristine model units, designed by some of the region’s strongest talents, shimmer and shine. The newest design was conceived and executed by Peter Webster of Webster & Company, a showroom in the Boston Design Center. Assisting with the latest in home technology was Elite Media Solutions, a Wellesley, Massachusetts, company that sells and installs home theater, audio, and other home-tech systems. Elite Media recently welcomed guests to view the units and get a close-up look at some of the dazzling tech products they feature including mirrors that double as televisions and speakers completely invisible to the eye.

In sightlines of the living room and kitchen, this area for dining uniquely places a sofa in front of the window with intricate armchairs opposite, and a black cabinet and extra chairs against a mirrored wall.

Two upholstered armchairs and a round table offer a place by the window to sit and relax.

The rich textiles in the curtains and matching headboard combine with an oversize painting and hanging chandelier to make for a plush look in the bedroom.

Webster’s unit, which was completed by The Holland Companies of Weymouth, Massachusetts, has two bedrooms, a spacious living/dining/kitchen area, and a sweet study alcove near the entrance. The scheme gently welcomes visitors, ushering them seamlessly from one space to another. Looking to Rose Tarlow for furniture and Chameleon Fine Lighting of New York for lighting, Webster created a serene atmosphere throughout, one that balances simplicity, tradition, and elegance. Nicely done.
