MLB.com is making a new push to connect single Red Sox fans through “Red Sox Singles,’ an online dating service through Match.com.

The service was launched in April, according to The Boston Globe.

Match.com warns that Yankees fans could very well be trolling the site, reported The Globe.

And if a fan's Match.com browsing turns up a potential paramour who self-identifies as a Yankees supporter, they can give that person a good leaving-alone -- or they can "reach out and give them a hard time," said Match.com spokeswoman Amy Canaday, who added that this is the first time the dating site has partnered with a sports league.

If two people do happen to hit it off, it’s unclear if they’re guaranteed to make it past first base or not.
