The wicked good play, “Good People,” from Pulitzer-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, has been extended through Oct. 14 at the Huntington Theatre Company. So, this means you have more time to meet struggling single mom, Margie Walsh, and her colorful Bingo-playing friends.

In Sunday’s Globe Magazine interview, Lindsay-Abaire told Billy Baker that as a boy he peddled peaches with his father across the street from the Huntington: “It’s weird for me, having spent so much time looking over at it, to actually have a play inside. It’s a weird, funky kind of feeling.”

Even though that show closes Oct. 14, you can take a trip to Southie and grab a dog at Sullivan’s -- but be sure to get there before the Castle Island institution closes for the winter on Nov. 25.
