“Somebody that I Used to Know” by Gotye (if you have not heard this song by now, return to your cave), “Call Me Maybe” (if you don’t know the chorus to this by now, congratulations) by Carly Rae Jepsen and “We Are Young” by Fun and Janelle Monae topped Spotify’s list of the 100 most popular songs of 2012. Flo Rida’s “Whistle” checked in at No. 4 and No. 5 was “Wild Ones” by Sia.

A few other curious things we noticed. “Gangnam Style” by the briefly-Boston-educated rapper PSY came in at No. 24 and it was followed by one of Adele’s biggest hits, “Rolling in the Deep.”

One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” was No. 17.

What’s Spotify, you ask? It’s a wildly popular music streaming service you’ll be hearing a lot more of in 2013.

Meantime, our apologies for getting this stuck in your ahead. Again.
