Crazy but true: women having foot surgery to fit into high-heeled shoes
File this in the folder of stupid things women do in the name of beauty. Apparently some -- and I’m guessing very few -- are having plastic surgery procedures to have their baby toes sliced off or their longer toes shortened in order to squeeze their feet into super-high stilettos.
Perhaps they got the idea from the stepsisters in the Cinderella fairytale.
Other foot makeover procedures that are seeing a rise in popularity include bunion removal and collagen injections in the balls of the foot to make wearing high heels more comfortable.
Take a look at this video above, and let me know your thoughts. Have you heard of anyone doing this, or do you think the woman featured in the video is the only one?Deborah Kotz can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Follow her on Twitter @debkotz2.
