Capsule review: This Spanish restaurant is owned by Irish-born Dan McMyler, with Anderson Pereira at the stove. Lots of tapas, plus entrees, but the tapas allow you to try more tastes.

I love Tasca. I had my first date with my wife there and later had my rehersal dinner there. The atmosphere is romantic and the help very friendly. The food is always consistent and tasty. Really enjoyed the live flamenco on one occasion and the guitarist on Thursdays is always amazing.

It was from a Spanish guy at Mistral that I learned about Tasca. He said it was the most authentic Spanish food in town. I found the space to be inviting, cosy and cool on hot summer nights. The valet parking is only $6 and most of the Tapas are in the same price range. Service was knowledgable and friendly and wines very good value compared to other restaurants. The best thing is that the kitchen closes at midnight on week-ends ......I work in a restaurant myself and appreciate that I can get a late bite after work.
