Beam us up, Scotty!

The Official Star Trek Convention returns to Boston this weekend, as Trekkies will be taking over the Hynes Convention Center June 21-22.

A number of the franchise’s stars will also be in attendance throughout the two-day event, including Walter Koenig (Chekov on the original “Star Trek”), Robert Beltran (Commander Chakotay from “Stark Trek: Voyager”), and Avery Brooks (Captain Sisko from “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”).

The convention will also feature behind-the-scenes presentations, trivia, costume contests, as well as an auction where fans can bid on collectibles from the series.

General admission tickets to the convention will be available at the door for $20 on Saturday and Sunday. Kids ages six and under are able to attend the event for free when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Doors will be open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, well, that is if Khan doesn’t show up and ruin the fun.
