Well alright, alright, alright.
Recent Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey is in Massachusetts filming his latest movie, “Sea of Trees.”
Production on the drama, which also stars former Academy Award nominees Ken Watanabe and Naomi Watts, commenced on Monday, according to the Globe.
Crews were spotted filming in Foxborough for the first few days of the shoot, and will travel around the state. However, don’t expect to see McConaughey and company around town, as unit publicist Gregg Brilliant revealed that the film will not shoot any scenes in Boston proper.
“We are spending several million dollars in [Massachusetts] and providing jobs for hundreds of locals,” Brilliant told the Globe.
“Sea of Trees” is being helmed by “Good Will Hunting” director Gus Van Sant and is being written by “Buried” screenwriter Chris Sparling.
