Test results from Peaches Geldof’s post-mortem inquest have revealed that heroin use likely contributed her death, according to Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fotheringham.
Fotheringham, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, spoke for about 10 minutes during a hearing on Thursday according to an AP report. The hearing was adjourned until later this year.
The death of the British socialite and celebrity echoes that of her mother, Paula Yates, who died of a heroin overdose in 2000. Geldof is also the daughter of Irish musician and philanthropist, Bob Geldof, founder of Live Aid.
