Let’s face it. Boston’s been looking for some ‘hot stuff’ for a while, and an online group thinks it knows what it’s going to take to bring it.

A Facebook campaign has launched urging the city to build a statue of the iconic singer and Boston native Donna Summer.

According to the Facebook group, Summer is “the pride of Dorchester and one Boston’s greatest entertainers. It’s time a statue in the city recognizes her amazing achievements.”

The idea may not be far-fetched, The Boston Herald reports. Mayor Marty Walsh dropped a Donna Summer record at Together last week as its ceremonial “first beat,” indicating Summer isn’t far from our minds.
