If you build it, they will come... back.

That’s the case for “Field of Dreams” star Kevin Costner who will return to Dyersville, Iowa to the set of the 1989 classic sports film for its 25th anniversary on June 13.

“I am looking forward to returning to Dyersville to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Field of Dreams,” Costner said in the video above. “I’ve come to know how much this film means to people all over America and particularly know how important it’s become to Iowans.”

Costner will be joined by former major leaguers like Bret Saberhagen, Ryan Dempster, and Glendon Rusch, as well as his co-stars Timothy Busfield and Dwier Brown, according to the Des Moines Register.

Sportscaster Bob Costas helped announce the event details which include a screening on the film on a “giant screen,” a game of baseball, and a performance by Costner’s band, Modern West.

Families are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the screening a la center field.
