Two of the west’s wildest heroes are teaming up in an upcoming comic book co-written by Quentin Tarantino.

The “Kill Bill” director will be uniting Django Freeman, the gunslinging star played by Jamie Foxx in Tarantino’s 2012 hit “Django Unchained,” with the swashbuckling hero Zorro, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Django/Zorro” will be co-written by comic book scribe Matt Wagner.

“I’m very very excited about both this story and the opportunity to work with Matt,” Tarantino said in a statement, per THR. “It was reading his Zorro stories that convinced me what a good idea it was to join these two icons together. And the story idea we came up with is thrilling, and I think will be an exciting new chapter for both characters.”

This isn’t the first time that Django will have graced the pages of a comic book, as Tarantino previously adapted his Oscar-winning film into a seven-issue miniseries in 2013.

“Django/Zorro” will be co-published by Dynamite Entertainment and DC Entertainment, and is set to be released later in 2014.
