Johnny Depp is apparently a man of many talents. The upcoming star of the yet-to-be-titled Whitey Bulger-centered film (based on the novel “Black Mass”) took to the stage at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion last night alongside 81-year-old headliner and rock legend, Willie Nelson.
Depp surprised a packed house by playing a fancy, custom-looking guitar for the entire set, Boston Globe reporter Sarah Rodman tweeted.
Some photos of Depp, who played at stage left during the show clad in a black t-shirt, jeans, and glasses, have surfaced on Twitter.
Depp has been spotted throughout Greater Boston while working on the Bulger flick and we got word via the Boston Herald that his costar, Benedict Cumberbatch (he’s playing Billy Bulger in the film), was recently seen taking a date to Sonsie for dinner.
Were you there? Have you seen Depp or Cumberbatch in the city? We’d love to hear from you. Shoot me a note at the e-mail below or tweet at me with your thoughts.Emily Wright can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Follow her on Twitter @MissEmilyWright.
