To be considered for The Globe Top 100, a company must have been publicly traded for all of 2001 and had 2001 and 2000 revenue of at least $10 million. The company must have reported a profit in both 2000 and 2001, and have a long-term debt-to-equity ratio less than 4:1. Real estate investment trusts (REITS), royalty trusts, closed-end funds, and limited partnerships were excluded.
