SPEED TRAP: WHO GETS A TICKET, WHO GETS A BREAK
How fast you can go

It depends who is writing the ticket. In Boston, for example, police
don't generally crack down on speeders—ticketing 80 percent of
those stopped—until a driver is going more than 20 miles over the
speed limit. State Police ticket 80 percent of speeders when a driver
is going more than 10 miles over the limit.
