Statement by Bishop John B. McCormack, bishop of Manchester, N.H.
12/13/02
Today I ask the Christian faithful and the people of New Hampshire to join me in praying for the people of the Church in the Archdiocese of Boston.
I am confident that the decision by Cardinal Law to resign as Archbishop of Boston is his effort to do what is best for the Church. May the Lord grant him as well as all those who have been troubled and harmed the gifts of consolation, hope and peace.
