Tiff saving: (No LZW, ZIP or JPEG encoding)
EPS saving: (Macintosh 8-bit preview with binary encoding)
All graphics included with page layout file
All graphics saved at proper size to be placed at 100% in layout file
All graphics converted to printable color space (CMYK, Grayscale, Spot)
All graphics saved at proper resolution for 150 lpi

(Vector images > or = 1200 dpi)
FONTS
Macintosh Postscript Type 1 (Include both screen and printer font)
Include all fonts used in page layout as well as all fonts used in Vector EPS images
Do not stylize fonts using control or measurements palettes in page layout applications
(Use the actual stylized font, i.e. bold or italic to ensure correct print)
We prefer that you save all screen and printer fonts in a separate folder entitled “fonts”
COLORS
Delete all unused colors in the page layout's color palette
If 4 color job convert all Pantone & RGB colors to CMYK and ensure
“Spot Color” is unchecked
If job requires spot colors specify “Spot Color”
If using Pantone colors select inks from swatch book and not what looks
good on your monitor
Note that colors printed from a non-color managed printer do not represent
final printed piece
If job requires color conversion there may be a shift in color due to the limitations of the CMYK color space

BLEEDS & TRAPPING
Allow for standard .125” bleed when applicable
Do not apply trapping

PDF

PDF’s must be “Press Optimized” with all images embedded, all fonts embedded, all colors in a printable color space, with correct layout properties and printer marks.
