Man’s best friend is also a great workout buddy! They’ll never bail on a workout, are always encouraging you to keep going, and they won’t try to talk to you while you’re knee-deep in squats. Channel some of your dog’s never-ending energy for your benefit.
In Arlington and Boston this summer, you can find owners getting sweaty with their dogs with Fit Doggie and Me, a unique personal training program that lets owners and their dogs workout together!
In this Work It Out, Boston video, Boston.com correspondent Alexa Pozniak attended a session at the Boston Common, where Fit Doggie and Me trainers are hosting free trial classes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on June 21 and 22.
The classes include high interval training and resistance exercises, says Mike Harb, Fit Doggie and Me owner and founder. It’s definitely a full body workout for pooch and person that uses similar skills that can also help with general obedience training.
