The Set-up of Reprints
As part of the reprint agreement, a third party may use the headline, byline, two opening paragraphs of the article, and the Boston.com copyright notice on their site, complete with links to Boston.com or the Globe Online. The copyright notice must hyperlink to the full copyrights and permissions agreement hosted on Boston.com. The third party may design and package this content as they wish, but they may not textually alter any content. A third link directing readers to "Click here to see the rest of the story" must appear below the Boston.com content on the third party site. That link will click though to a full reprint of the story hosted on the Boston.com server.
Content which does not meet the above regulations will be approved on a case-by-case basis.
The Terms
A one-time set-up fee of $750.00 includes reprint creation and hosting by Boston.com for one year. There is a $500.00 renewal fee for each year thereafter.
The fee is the same for profit and non-profit businesses.
To fulfill your Web reprint request we must receive credit card payment, a personal check, or money order in full, prior to processing.
