STORY Big Dig pushes bottlenecks outward

Although the opening of the Big Dig has eased traffic congestion on downtown highways, at the same time it has pushed the bottlenecks outward, where motorists are spending more time in traffic. Average travel times at peak traffic volume in 2006 compared to 1994.
