SEND US YOUR RESUME

Think your resume needs help?

A resume tells a potential employer a lot about you. But is yours saying the right thing?

Boston.com wants to help you find out.

We are looking for readers willing to have their resumes critiqued by experts from area employment agencies and human resources departments.

Find out if you're making the best first impression by e-mailing a word document of your resume to resumehelp@boston.com, with "resume help" in the subject field.

In the e-mail, be sure to include:

  1. Your full name and age
  2. Your town
  3. Day and evening phone numbers (for confirmation purposes only)
  4. Your e-mail address (for confirmation purposes only)
  5. Industry you are looking in
  6. Job level (entry, 10-years experience, etc.)
  7. Some background: Why do you need resume help? How long have you been looking for a job? Add anything else you think will help your get selected for a critique. (Note: Please keep background info to 400 words.)

Before we send resumes to agencies and managers, we'll cross out all names and identifying information (right) to protect your privacy. However, please submit your resume as is.

Deadline for submissions has passed. Thank you for your resumes.

Not all resumes submitted will be critiqued. You will be notified in early August if your resume has been selected for a critique. Resumes and critiques will be featured on Boston.com this September.
